Internet Security

The first section of the Website is setup to assist beginners and business owners to identify the basic risks of Internet security threats and steps on how to implement measures to minimise threat with free Internet security tools such as virus protection program, spyware removal and trojan protection and free firewall program.

Security Vulnerability Assessment

 

The second section is tailored for Corporate IT Security, Security Assessments, Hacking Preventions. Just follow the steps which include how to extract IDs, how to look for files, directories with full access rights, extract server vulnerabilities with free tools

I have started to put my thoughts into this site as I have seen a number of PCs / Servers that are simply connected to the Internet without any protection.

For example, a company that have hundreds of PCs and Servers do not even have a firewall and admin IDs are a common knowledge to most personnel. Wireless network connected to the internal network that host the data servers is not encrypted and this meant free for anybody that has a wireless client.

 

A person standing outside the company can connect to the network without even need to pass through the main entrance.The owner wonder why his servers/network infrastructure doesn't work when the company SLA to clients deadline approaches.

Further, I hope that new computer users will find them useful and I will continue to include other security vulnerability assessment topics such as encryption over Internet, E-Mail protection, Unix network security.

I worked with a number of IT Security Professionals and from time to time I will include other Best Practices that I find useful based on new experiences/methods obtained from the IT Security Industry. Please note these contents are my personal views based on actual professional implementations/assessments of computer networks, data centre, servers and IT Infrastructure when I am onsite across Asia, Europe and Africa.

Also to everyone, I really appreciate you can send me your articles relating to security and I will get them published in this site!
